Kendal Dixie Lifferth

Kendal Dixie Lifferth

December 16, 2011
8 lbs 3 oz
19.5 inches

She is our little redheaded beauty. We love her so much and are so happy to have her here. My water broke at 8:00 am and I got the kids out of the bath and dropped them off at Robb's sister's house. Robb was driving very quickly back from work where he had just arrived when I called him. I met him on the way to the hospital and we arrived just as the contractions were really starting to hurt around 9:00 am. I received my epidural and started pushing around 11:00. It was a good labor and delivery. She is a good natured baby and I love to just hold her and kiss her.

Henry's Lake

My dad loves to go fishing in Island Park on opening fishing day. We decided to make it a family vacation this year and we all went. It was sooooo cold. It was raining and snowing practically the whole time we were there, but that didn't stop us from going out in the boat to catch some fish. We had a good time, despite the cold and the kids had a lot of fun being on Grandpa's boat.

Ethan was a little grumpy about wearing his life jacket.

Olivia fishing with Uncle Jake.

Olivia with her 1st Fish Ever! She was so excited. When Uncle Jake was taking the hook out of its mouth it slipped back into the lake and Olivia was really upset that she didn't get to keep her fish. She felt like she hadn't really caught one because she couldn't keep looking at it in the cooler.

Disneyland 2010!

Robb and I had been debating taking the kids to Disneyland for a few months and finally just decided to do it while the kids were at an age where they would be in awe of everything. It was so fun! The look on their faces as they experienced everything was priceless! The weather was perfect and the crowds weren't too bad. The kids were so good, I think just because they were so happy to be there. Olivia just kept saying how this was the best trip ever.

I love this picture because Ethan is so enthralled with Mickey. The whole time he just kept saying "Hi Mickey." He is giggling because Mickey tried to kiss him and for the next few hours he just kept saying "Mickey try kiss me." It was so cute.

Olivia was so excited to see the Princesses there was no way that we weren't going to wait in line for an hour to see them. She was most excited about Princess Tiana from Princess and the Frog.

We had been talking about Lightning and Mater the whole time we were there and Ethan was so glad to finally see them. I think it is so sweet how he just had to give Mater a big kiss.

I love the end picture because I have one of me doing the same thing when I was little!

Baby Animal Days

We Love Baby Animal Days! We had to drive to Logan this year to go to Baby Animal Days, which was a little weird, but it is an event that we didn't want to miss. My sister in law Trish and her kids went with us in what has become an annual event. My mom also came with us for the first time. Touching all those animals makes me a little nervous, but the kids love it. This was the first year that Ethan really cared about holding the animals and it was fun to see his reaction. He wanted to touch and see everything. Olivia is a little nervous about some of the animals but still has such a good time.

To ride the horse you have to wear a helemt and I was so afraid that the kids (Ethan) wouldn't keep the helmet on. They were so excited to ride the horse that they could have cared less about the helmet.

They had a new train this year and the line was so long that we didn't want to wait, but the kids really wanted to ride it. They had a lot of fun and I am glad we ended up waiting.

They have these cute little turtles that Olivia won't even go near. Ethan though it was really cool until they started moving and he got freaked out and dropped it into the bucket. It is a good thing they have that little bowl of water under them!

We have finally had our first major accident to the face. I guess we are lucky that it has been four years. Olivia was playing on a planter box at my mom's house and she fell about 2 feet to the ground and smashed her face on the cement. I didn't realize just how bad it was until the morning after because she did it late at night. She had a huge goose egg and half of her cheek is covered in a cement rash. I just hope that it doesn't scar!

ETHAN IS 2!

I can't believe that my baby is two. Two is such a hard age for me and he is really testing his limits. We decided to go to the Treehouse Museum for his birthday and he had such a good time. It was really good until I lost him! He was there one minute and gone the next. After searching for a couple of minutes I told the lady in charge and soon she had all the staff fanning out to find him. Everyone was communicating by walkie talkie and the whole time I just kept thinking what a terrible mother I was, to especially have lost him on his birthday. Luckily within a few minutes he was found, but those were the longest few minutes of my life. He really gives me a run for my money! Here are some fun things about him: He loves to tease his sister, he loves to shoot his laser finger at us, his smile is the best thing in the world, he loves to put all his food in his drink and then drink it, he is so happy to see Olivia every morning, he likes to play swords and wrestle with daddy, throw rocks and play in the dirt.

Robb's family has done a winter retreat to Bear Lake around Christmas for the last few years. For Christmas this year I really wanted a new camera that I could keep in my purse and use to take pictures of the kids as we were out and about. Robb did lots of research and found one that wouldn't get ruined bouncing around in my purse or if anything spilled on it. Being the techie that he is, he also found one that was waterproof. I think he was more excited to use it than I was but we got some good fun pictures from it at the pool.
